We're delighted to report that our latest free cinema event showcasing the new film Captain America: Brave New World at Cineworld Bury St Edmunds was a tremendous success, welcoming around 50 enthusiastic attendees from across our community.
Held on February 28th, this special screening was organised by Tom Howard, Director of Bury Film Group CIC, as part of our ongoing mission to offer inclusive, accessible, and free cinema experiences to local residents.
The event attracted film lovers of all ages—especially popular among older children, teenagers, and adults. The excitement in the cinema was palpable, with attendees thoroughly enjoying the film and the welcoming atmosphere created by the Bury Film Group volunteers.
Tom Howard, who personally organised the screening, commented:
"Creating free cinema events isn’t just about showing a film. It’s about bringing the community together and providing an inclusive, barrier-free environment for everyone. Seeing so many people smiling and enjoying themselves really highlights why these screenings matter."
This latest event adds to our growing list of successes, following popular screenings such as Paddington in Peru, Moana 2, and Spider-Man. To date, Bury Film Group CIC has provided over 750 local people with memorable cinema experiences.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event, making it yet another fantastic evening.

We can't wait to welcome you to our next free cinema experience!
